Spring Green And The Fremont Bridge
I love driving through Portland and catching glimpses of our many bridges through the city infrastructure. Saw this a week or so ago over in The Pearl. Fremont Bridge with it's big rainbow arch framed on one side by new spring green during a light rain. Marvelous!

Gerber Balmung
Another abstract of a knife handle for my macro class. Pretty dramatic with all the white, grey and black on the diagonal.

Abstract of Knife Handle
Over in my online macro class, we're making silverware photos. Here's one of mine that I particularly love. It's the handle of my filet knife I use for canning salmon. I love the grey, white and black parts and how they combine to make the swoop to the upper right. I also like that the background is a kind of fainter color of the dark swoop in the handle. I used my new Adobe Topaz filter on the shot to smooth out some scratches in the metal. I think it perked up the shot quite a bit and smoothed out the rough edges.
