Dogwood Days of Spring, The Sequel

We are getting into the next phase of blooming dogwood in the Pacific Northwest.  These dogwood trees flower all summer. The flowers are fresh right now--newly bloomed.  They get looking pretty ragged looking by late July.  Ah, Oregon!

Mary, I remember when I was in my 20s and I'd moved out of Oregon for several years. Was living in Mesa, AZ. The first time I came back home for a visit, Oregon felt like sensory overload to me. SO. MUCH. GREEN! It seemed like every patch of earth had green things crowding out of it. In multiple layers, multiple hues, multiple varieties of plants. Living away from here made me appreciate much more what we have in Oregon. I'm glad I'm back!
