Portland is such a great city! This is the armory built for Oregon's National Guard in 1891. What a great building! I love the fortress-like appearance. Apparently, not too recently the place was a falling-apart wreck. In 2005, a renovation was begun and in 13 months it was restored and transformed into a home for Portland Center Stage theater.

First Regiment Armory
